It&amp;#39;s not because they didn&amp;#39;t love my grandmothers - actually, they loved them very much. My maternal grandfather mourned my grandmother until the day he died too. I don&amp;#39;t know how the stepfather felt about his new wife, but I think my grandfathers both remarried after losing my grandmothers because they didn&amp;#39;t want to be alone. Which, ok, is a shitty reason to get married, but in my grandfathers&amp;#39; cases, they&amp;#39;re both old already and I&amp;#39;m pretty sure (Oh God I hope!) that there wasn&amp;#39;t a lot of sexin&amp;#39; going on. Again, I haven&amp;#39;t read the book, so I don&amp;#39;t know what was going on in the stepfather&amp;#39;s head (nor do I know if we find out anything about his relationship with the new wife). Hoping for the best. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What can I say? I&amp;#39;m an optimist. :)</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2206298082780423356/9207520719102551076/comments/default/5411403347015809035'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2206298082780423356/9207520719102551076/comments/default/5411403347015809035'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.thebookvixen.com/2012/01/review-in-close-by-brenda-novak.html?showComment=1327519788351#c5411403347015809035' title=''/><author><name>Mama Kitty</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/09417165718948987609</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='06253250035544288814'/><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_LClwfV35F_E/S2IkIQkNlpI/AAAAAAAAAEA/0HFKkK48CEA/S220/Cat%2520Eyes.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.thebookvixen.com/2012/01/review-in-close-by-brenda-novak.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2206298082780423356.post-9207520719102551076' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2206298082780423356/posts/default/9207520719102551076' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1083687372'/></entry></feed>
