Thursday Thirteen: Authors and Series on My Auto-Read List

Thursday Thirteen

Thursday Thirteen is a weekly meme with a simple theme: each Thursday you blog a list of 13 things. What kind of things? Any kind! Just come up with a list theme and run with it.

Brianna’s List (only 10 for me this week):

  1. Nicholas Sparks. He writes it, I read it. I don’t even have to read the blurb.
  2. Fool’s Gold series by Susan Mallery. Great small town romance.
  3. Adrenaline High series by Dee J. Adams. The name of the series says it all. Fast-pace, adrenaline filled, sexy romantic suspense.
  4. Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep. Kickass heroine and stunning world-building.
  5. Black Knight Inc. series by Julie Ann Walker. Undercover Special Ops under the guise of a motorcycle shop. Oh yeah.
  6. Kowalski Family series by Shannon Stacey. A fun, funny, family-oriented romance series set in a small town. And it’s smutty.
  7. Shiloh Walker’s contemporary romance and romantic suspense. Well-written and smutty.
  8. FBI/US Attorney series by Julie James. Fun, sexy romance with suspense. Love the flirtatious banter.
  9. Ruthie Knox. Great, pulsating contemporary romance.
  10. Fast Track series by Erin McCarthy. Race car drivers, need I say more?

J9’s List:

  1. Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux because Ty and Zane push all my buttons.
  2. All the King's Men series by Donya Lynne because the world building of vampire and drecks is unique and the romances scorching with enough hot men to keep me in this series for a long time.
  3. Anything by Sarah MacLean for her unique leads in nuanced romances.
  4. Faith, Love & Devotion series by Tere Michaels because of the emotionally intense MM romance between two cops and the family they're trying to raise together.
  5. Anything by Ava March because no author does historical MM romance better.
  6. Life Lesson's series by Kaje Harper because cop Mac and his husband Tony captured my heart from their first book.
  7. Elder Races series by Thea Harrison because of the stellar paranormal world building, great secondary characters and strong romances.
  8. Dangerous Ground series by Josh Lanyon because I can't resist Taylor and Will even when they break each others hearts and mine.
  9. Immortal Guardians series by Dianne Duvall because of the unique world building of Guardians versus vampires and the great cast of characters finding their life partners.
  10. New Species series by Laurann Dohner because of the rugged but innocent heroes.
  11. Anything by Courtney Milan because she never takes the easy way out of character development and her books have a gentle message of feminism, in my opinion.
  12. Sentinel Wars series by Shannon K. Butcher because I love the Theroni world building were heroes are slowly consumed by their powers as they await the women who can save them.  I've had trouble with the heroines from the past few books in the series but continue to read.
  13. Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward because it's addictive like cheap chocolate.

  1. I need to start doing this meme!

Brianna, you and I read almost identically....besides, Nicholas Sparks, all your authors are on my list.

J9, I need to print off your list. you have a lot of authors there I haven't read. O.O How is that possible!?!?!

    Great lists, girls!! smiles...

    1. You should do TT! What I love about this meme is that is is no set list; you decide what you're going to make a list on each week.

    2. That's why I love these lists because I almost always find something new to read and with how much I read, I need that! I'll look forward to reading your TT when you get it up, Christi.

    3. It will be next week before I can play along. I have two graduations in the next two days (kindergarten and high school senior) and life is crazy in my house right now...LOL! Next week, I'm in though (I probably should go write that down so I don't forget)... smiles!

  2. Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep
Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter
Kate Daniels series by Ilonda Andrews
Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane
    Anything by Molly Harper
    Anything by Jeaniene Frost
Fever series by Karen Marie Moning
Immortals After Dark Series by Kresley Cole

    1. IAD by Cole nearly made my list but it's derailed for me a bit since my favorite of Demon from the Dark and I didn't enjoy Lothaire that much.

    2. I've had the Jane Yellowrock series, Kate Daniels series, and Downside Ghosts series on my TBR list for a while now. Maybe I need to bump them up.
