When small town girl Melinda Prescott is taken hostage by three hot bank robbers, she quickly discovers that a life of bank heists, luxury hotels, and kinky ménages is way more exciting than working on the family farm. She should be scared of her dominating, fierce captors...but there's something wicked inside her that's craving to obey their every dark desire.
Melinda eagerly throws in with her three smoldering fugitives...and realizes little by little that these are no ordinary bank robbers--and that bad guys aren't always what they seem. But will her delicious captors overcome their own demons enough to let her in? And can they fight a conspiracy that's larger than all of them?
Warning: This book contains a sexy bank-robbers-and-their-captive sandwich, light bondage, spanking, teasing hints of domination, and a little play-time in a hot tub. Oh, and some all-too-delicious alpha heroes who bend the heroine to their will.
Why I Read this Book: After hearing about The Hostage Bargain and reading the blurb, I was insanely curious. The premise of a hostage falling for her abductors intrigued me. The premise for this book was over-the-top crazy but that’s what made this such a fun read.
What I Liked: Some of the circumstances that occurred in The Hostage Bargain were a little crazy and farfetched but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I knew going in that I was going to get a crazy tale and I think that allowed me to enjoy reading it.
There was no preamble; The Hostage Bargain started right off with the bank robbery already in progress. I like when an author cuts right to the chase. As soon as I started reading, I couldn’t put this book down.
I was concerned that The Hostage Bargain was going to resemble a porno but surprisingly enough it didn’t. (And thank goodness for that!) There were some erotic scenes and M/F/M action but nothing too crazy (considering there were 3 guys and just one girl). Everything that happened was consensual, for all involved parties, and some of it was even initiated by Melinda.
What I Didn’t Like: There were some typos and grammatical errors but nothing too bothersome.
These men had done this before. It was fabulously badass, and even then, I was thinking this scene would become a staple in my repertoire of stranger sex fantasies for months.
Overall Impression: The Hostage Bargain was a fun and wild ride, and even had some intense moments. It was pure entertainment. The book left off with an open ending (not a cliffhanger) so I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
