A woman who doesn’t believe she deserves love…

Toe-curling kisses and enough sex to fill a weekend were all Pandora wanted from a fling with her teenage crush. She’s never forgotten how he played the knight in shining armor to her damsel in distress. She’s ready to say thank you in several naughty ways, so long as she can walk away when it’s over with her heart intact.

A man moving on from tragedy…

Brian has no intention of allowing the feisty tattoo artist to leave him after one taste. He hasn’t had enough of her inked curves. The packaging might have changed, but Pandy is the woman he hasn’t been able to excise from his memory. He’s ready to put together a new life, one that includes her. But he’s not the only one vying for her attention. Someone else wants her, dead or alive.

Why I Read This Book: I’m intrigued by the tattoo subculture.

In a Nutshell: I think this story was okay. I will read more books in the series.

The Set Up: Pandora is a tattoo artist. She meets Brian again at a tattoo convention several years after they first met.

What I Liked: I liked the progression of the relationship—it seemed natural to me. Both Pandora and Brian has emotional baggage to work through—self esteem and guilt issues. I like that all the issues weren’t resolved in the short amount of time covered in the book but enough progress was made for me to believe they were committed to each other.

I think it’s cute both were crushing on each other when they met years ago and have secretly longed for each other. Even though part of their initial meeting wasn’t under good circumstances.

I like that Brian didn’t give up on Pandora easily even when she was putting up roadblocks but he wasn’t pushy or overbearing. I think he pushed Pandora just enough to get her to see past her insecurities.

I also like the descriptions at the beginning of each chapter describing tattoo equipment and methods. Getting one (or three) tattoos is on my bucket list and I hope to get my first one very soon. So I appreciate these little tidbits of information.

I enjoy the setup of the series and that the series centers around the women tattoo artists at the shop where Pandora works. I look forward to the rest of the series.

What I Didn’t Like: I guessed the villain pretty quickly, which isn’t terrible but maybe he/she could have been less obvious.

Overall Impression: I liked the story. I’m intrigued enough to keep reading the series. A good start to a new-to-me series.
