In a Nutshell: The second book of The Game Maker series is a little like the first with a new brother and a new woman. Cat Marin, cleaning lady turned prostitute, meets Mafiya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan, hot sex ensues.
What I Liked: Kresley Cole has a way with words that makes every book I read by her crack. I can't get enough and often I read all of her new books in one sitting. The imagery and sensual details are on par with fabulous writing. Cat Marin is another thing...she is feisty, fiery, Latina, and if Maxim didn't claim her already I would be tempted to. There is scorching chemistry between the two main characters from page one and it doesn't relent until the final page.
What I Didn't Like: Overbearing Russians being overbearing Russians. Without giving away any details there is a part of the book Maxim just makes a decision be damned to anyone else who wishes to go against it. I didn't agree with how it played out despite the BDSM nature of Cat and Maxim's relationship.
Overall Impression: A sexy read for a cold winter's night (lots of beach and sun!)
