Mini-Review

I got this anthology for the Dianne Duvall story, so I only read that one (the Ivy story is from a series I don’t like, and I don’t read the other two authors so I didn’t read their stories either.)

I am an unabashed fan-reader of Duvall’s Immortal Guardians series so was giddy to read this. However, it totally didn’t work for me. I thought the romance lackluster and the resolution not well explained. Yuri and Cat has characters were wonderful but they seemed removed from the Immortal Guardians world and that world is such a reason I love the series that I was disappointed. Plus, given where the story leaves Yuri and Cat, series readers will be mightily pissed if they don’t make appearances in future books (I just read the book that releases after and no mention of Yuri and Cat so I’m a little worried!) I’m bummed that I didn’t love this story but given that I just finished the full length book that’s next in the series, I know this story is the anomaly.
