The Book Vixen's In My Pocket

In My Pocket is a weekly feature where J9 and I share some of the links we’ve collected in Pocket. (To find out what Pocket is and how to use it, check out my tutorial on Pocket.) Some links will be book-related while some may be off-topic. Who knows what you’ll find in our Pocket ;) And if you use Pocket, we invite you to share what’s in your Pocket as well.

  2. We have yearly training at work about security and they tell us not to put where we work on our Facebook accounts or use your maiden names in your profile if you are married. Because of lot of security questions ask about maiden names. The work thing is for where I work because of the nature of work we do we are not allowed to talk to non US peeps about our work.

And never announce that you're on vacation out of town, that's one of the things thieves look for when breaking into homes.

Honesty people need to stop and think about what they are sharing.

    1. I am so curious about what you do now!! LOL

You bring up good points. I know someone whose house got burglarized while on vacation and I have to wonder if it was someone she knew on FB because she was constantly updating her status about being on vacation. I don't put my location on anything. No on Twitter, FB, and I don't even use FourSquare. I heard a scary story about a client hunting down someone using her FourSquare check ins. The client physically assaulted her! It's scary.
