Month in Review: October 2013

The Book Vixen's Month in Review

Who’s got a candy hangover? *raises hand* Yeah, I totally raided my oldest’s trick-or-treat bag. What? She doesn’t even eat candy. I swear it.

TOP PICKS: J9’s top picks are Disasterology 101 by Taylor V. Donovan and Corruption by Eden Winters, both of which got 5 frogs.

I am still going through guest reviewer applications so if you are interested in applying, there is still time! On the application, I ask which Harlequin lines you’d be interested in reading and reviewing. You won’t be limited to just those books. But there is a void here on The Book Vixen that I’d like to fill, so I would like to bring on someone who likes to read books from the Harlequin lines.

If you follow me on Twitter (@thebookvixen), you may have noticed that I haven’t been tweeting Kindle deals & freebies lately. I do tweet twice a day genre-specific Kindle deals (e.g. Contemporary Romance deals, M/M Romance deals, Urban Fantasy deals, etc.) but it felt like I was cluttering up the timeline with individual Kindle deals. But fear not! I am now posting individual Kindle deals & freebies on our Facebook Page.

Another reason to follow us on Facebook: we’ve being hosting exclusive giveaways on our Facebook Page for our fans. We just gave away a print copy of Kinked by Thea Harrison (we’re having another giveaway for this book here on the blog next week, so look out for that) and we currently have a giveaway for Eternal Sin by Laura Wright.

It’s that time of year when reading challenges start popping up. I will post sign-up posts for the reading challenges I’m hosting later this month. I’m hosting the same ones I hosted this year. And if you’re a reading challenge junkie, like me, be sure to check out A Novel Challenge. It’s your one-stop place to find reading challenges, read-a-thons, and read-alongs.
